2gether In Vermont

2gether in Vermont is a parenting relationship workshop at MFCC for any parents raising children.

This workshop meets 5:30 – 8 pm on 8 Tuesday evenings, starting June 6 at The Milton Family Community Center.
A lite dinner and free childcare are provided.

Each week covers a different topic, which over the course of 8 weeks, will give parents healthy strategies to address family relationship challenges when they arise.

June 6th – Staying Close; Learn how to strengthen your relationships with others by developing a better understanding of their “inner-world”, likes, dislikes, history, dreams and goals.
June 13th – Constructive Relationship Problem Solving; Develop a better understanding of the conflict you are experiencing and learn ways to have conversations that lead to working together.
June 20th – Reaching Your Boiling Point; Recognize what happens to us physically and emotionally during conflict. You will learn strategies to help be a better partner and parent during stressful situations.
June 27th – Handling Stress Together; Learn to recognize the difference between healthy and unhealthy stress. Develop skills to manage stress for you and your child.
July 11th – Relationship Recovery Conversation; Learn how to have recovery conversations after a conflict or harsh words and how to repair conversations that are getting off track.
July 18th – Parenting Styles-Emotion Coaching; Develop an understanding of the different parenting styles and the role emotions play. Learn skills to help support your child’s emotions.
July 25th – Relationship Warning Signs; Understand the critical warning signs that can lead to stress, heartache and the failure of relationships. In addition learn how to avoid habits, behaviors and actions that can create long-term harm to relationships.
August 1st – Discovering What’s Important; Learn how to have a healthy engaging conversation about perpetual problems in relationships.
